Thank you for visiting West Coast Youth Collectives Hamámt ÍWest’s: Nurturing Our Roots! We’re currently working on building a website that will share our mission, programs, and ways to get involved in revitalizing Coast Salish land and water stewardship practices.

Land Acknowledgement

This website is created by Stó:lō women, on the unceded, unsurrendered, and unsold lands of the Stó:lō people. This land has always been, and will always be, Stó:lō land. Our people are timeless, our knowledge is enduring, and our connection to the land and waters runs deep beyond colonial borders. We honour and respect our ancestors, elders, and future generations who carry forward the teachings of stewardship and sovereignty.

We advocate for Indigenous sovereignty, autonomy, and the inherent right to access and care for our lands and waters without threats of violence under colonial law. Our work is rooted in the responsibility to protect, reclaim, and sustain our territories as our ancestors have always done.
